CT Rain
I'm telling ya, someone could get a lot of rain in a short period of time. Considering it comes in about 4 hours... yeah flash flooding is a possibility. Just depends on where the best forcing and LL convergence sets up. SnowMan
Trying to kick azz on these projects before the window slams shut. I like the years when the switch flips and overnight it's Winter. HIPPYVALLEY
SREF's much less robust with the QPF.
Brian5671
Chop the Nam in half (as one should do) and you get the SREF's total.

CoastalWx
Chop the Nam in half (as one should do) and you get the SREF's total. Considering the NAM can resolve more mesoscale processes like this, it's not unreasonable imo.

ineedsnow
gfs is about a quarter of what the nam is for precip
CoastalWx
Is this really mesoscale tho? There could be a narrow line of heavy rain right along the warm front, so yeah I could see mesoscale processes at work. Also, the GFS brings another surge of lift supported by a 850mb SSW LLJ and accompanying s/w. With the front stalled over SNE, I could see prolonged sheet rain/drizzle to the north of the warm front, thanks to such warm and humid air above the cooler marine layer. As the additional lift comes through...maybe a final band of rain near 12Z Thursday.

CoastalWx
gfs is about a quarter of what the nam is for precip It has the forcing further east. Sounds like it will come down to something in the middle perhaps.... and/or nowvcasting.
