moneypitmike
just checked the rain gauge and looks like another .3" fell overnight and this morning bringing event total to just a hair under .8" What were the highest totals in SNE? Pretty similar to here, Chris. .27" on the day, .88" on the event. 53.4/53 with some inkling of the sky ightening a bit.
CoastalWx
Man I don't know...and I've said this before too....I think Logan reports low in the QPF dept sometimes. Once again, they are the lower than anyone else in the area. OWD which by radar looked like it should be a little lower, actually reported more rain than KBOS. I remember hearing Todd Gross talk about this as well. It seems to happen in the more windy storms too.
ineedsnow
wow what a change an hour makes not a cloud in the sky now and warming up fast rain still coming off the trees

That thing runs like 50% of spotters and CoCoRAHS observers in the area. Ive always felt that ASOS stations are sketchy on QPF amounts... or maybe spotters just run high. It just seems a little low to me, especially since I had a rain gauge (although not right now) and I was always higher than Logan, in synoptic events that didn't feature mesoscale bands of heavy rain. I'm aware of accuracy issues and things like that, but just seems somewhat suspicious.

powderfreak
57F here east of the Greens but BTV torched to 68F on the other side. Near 70F in the Champlain Valley is pretty mild this time of year. That area is like the Fairfield County of NNE haha.

Allenson
LOL--good news on the downstream obs front. With a nice south to north trajectory maybe I can expect to see some breaks in an hour or so. Came inside due to a downpour but that's over now. Back to wood, wood is good. CoastalWx
Some models try to make things somewhat interesting later next week. GFS ensembles have a low offshore and the 00z euro ensembles don't have this low..but they do have a weakness in low pressure offshore. It probably won't be anything, but maybe something remotely interesting to watch.
