How many more Jets losses before you have the same ambivalence?

No mental conflict here Peter, this weather is insanely boring, and it feels like a coninuation of summer, hardly any change. Foilage is awful, still green trees everywhere, forsynthia is blooming, cherry and apple trees are blooming. I have a ton of wood to burn but the temp in my house is 71 and I cant light a fire, hard to get into the spirit of anything right now.

...........and the worst part, there is absolutely ZERO evidence of a pattern change to below normal weather, any discussion is pure wishcasting and pointless. Its time for a change, hopefully by the end of the month models will start showing something different, meanwhile tomorrow is another all out torch, and even on this "cool" day away from the south coast it was above normal yet again. Hard to think that your normals right now are 32/52ish.......good luck with that.

lol, come on. Yes its been a torch fall relative to normal but seriously...its still been "fall like" overall except for Columbus day weekend and a few other days.

Summer does not involve drizzle and temps around 50F...at least as along as its not Summer of 2009 that is.

I noticed up til 1.5 weeks ago, it didn't feel or look like fall - green trees, the leaves that were changing were going green to brown, grass growing like a mutha and the house staying around 70. I even had the A/C on at night to cool it off enough for sleep. Change came fast this year though - the colors really suddenly came on, not the best color I've seen but more of what I'm used to in fall. And just in the last 3 days, the house has cooled down to 62 inside and with today's damp chill, it felt like I needed a fire for the first time (didn't make one though - maybe this weekend).

But the color change was dramatic, literally went from green or dull to vibrant in 2 days. Now lots of 'normal' fall scenes, fiery maples with a circle of colorful leaves on the ground below, dark grey skies and a chill in the air.

Sounds nice, and is inspiring, wish we could have been chillier today, but low 60s and humid just did not cut it, alas its only later October, plenty of time!:snowman:

Agreed..everyone knows I agree that this fall has been warmer than normal but we've come a long way from Sept when highs were in the 70s most days to now highs in the 50s with no leaves on the trees. It looks like November/stick season out there.

We are getting killed on average lows but highs this week have started to be below normal. Today was 55/40 and normal is 56/34. So -1 on the high again, but +6 on the low. BTV said the next 7 days should average +5 to +10 but because of overnight temps.

Foliage stinks. Maples are losing leaves and the oaks are just turning to crap it seems...though I noticed some red ones today. Other trees that are green are just turning into a crappy black color and dropping.

Edit: at least in this area. It is better outside the city with different tree species...but not the best season. Grass is still green as ever.

Hardly any change?lol Are the daffodils coming up too. The only evidence that I think is really important is the calendar date.

Apparently Will, Ryan,MRG,Brian69me,MPM, and several others

Don't forget Scooter! Yup, quite a list of buffoons. Your instincts for character assessment must really help you at work.

Did you break 4 hours.

Oh man. lol

You're also a hippie living in a deolate area who only just got wireless internet and a cell phone. You're not really a functioning part of society. Will is

lol... I can picture MRG running his generator after a MECS just to get facebook back on.

It happens real quick.. give it another week to 10 days and you probably wont have much foliage left.

Yeah I'm just a few miles west of him but up several hundred feet and its noticeably different. The even higher hills at 1,000-1,300 feet are losing much of their foliage. When I drive east on 290, there's a definite difference in foliage...they are about a week behind I think.
