I was scrolling through the 12Z soundings this morning and there is a sounding for Huntsville, AL this morning. Does any .gov's know if this is a one time deal or a will we see more from here? If it's permanent, are there more additions in the future? I'd love to see soundings in Indianapolis. sun.gif

They launch daily soundings on Redstone Arsenal (Army) in Huntsville which I believe are available to the NWS but are not usually released to the public, I wouldn't expect it to be a regular occurrence.

You can get this RAOB whenever they launch it from UCAR

THe station is not plotted on the map, but if you mouse over the location, you can click the image map and it shows the RAOB.

Thanks for the clarification. I completely forgot about the Redstone Arsenal being there, which would why explain the code letters didn't ring a bell.
