goknights
Moneyman on the road traveling so don't have very good model access. What do the NAM, GFS, and ggem show for snowfall totals say from la crosse to where you are?

Same, I'll let the GGEM be the last thing I see tonight to end on a slightly less 'bridge jumping' attitude.
wisconsinwx
Well, many implications for a lot of people on these tracks. Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, with high population densities, will be hinging their chances on a few models. The two southern tracks are ideal for Southern Wisconsin, and Northern Illinois should get several inches with these as well.
dilly84
i see the canadians are going to make us wait. what are we looking at for us Buckeye, 2 good models and 2 bad models how is the secondary on the other models?
snowstormcanuck
good news then? We all need some Yeah, better than the NAM and especially the GFS, but there'd still be a period of rain for Toronto and Ottawa.

Hoosier
Nope, went ESE. 60 hour map Man, I'd hate to be a forecasting for southern WI/MI down toward I-80 right now. That looks like the very tough zone to call at this point.

goknights
No kidding how do you come up with the zone forecasts there. Ride the americans?? Probably not to big of implications if the ggem is right. Probably split the difference??
baroclinic_instability
The CMC is a tad farther N, but more importantly it is much more intense, following with the general trend of all guidance. oZ: Earlier 12Z:

You know FWIW this has been a fun storm to track regardless. Some people get touhcy and rude, but for the most part its been about the most exciting storm to track in the past couple years either way. Verbatim, it's a good 15 hours of moderate to heavy snow for areas north of I-80 (trowal & deformation), not including initial mix. http://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/cmdn/pcpn_type/pcpn_type_gem_reg.html
