Skilling gets excited but isn't a weenie IMO. If he undercasts (is that a word) snow, he has the weight of the city on him. One of my all time fav mets!

me too. He's always the first to catch onto events others downplay, but he tends to over hype winter events, which like you said is understandable given his clout.

milwaukee still sticking with the wsw....Statement as of 8:58 PM CST on December 09, 2010

... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Saturday morning

through late Saturday night...

A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Saturday morning

through late Saturday night.

* Timing... a mixture of snow... sleet... and freezing rain is

forecast late Friday night and will change to moderate to

heavy snow during Saturday morning.

* Snow accumulations... 6 to 10 inches of snow is possible

Saturday and Saturday night.

* Impacts... snow... heavy at times... accumulating on roadways and

reducing visibilities. Increasing north winds of 15 to 25 mph

with higher gusts may result in significant blowing and

drifting snow Saturday night... especially on west-east roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant

snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.

Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
