I believe all of these are easy to understand by most people.

geopotential height

Shortwaves and Fronts

Atmospheric Pressure

Coriolis Force

Hydrostatic Eq.

Solar Heating

Latent Heat

Convection (hit "next" to continue explanation)

Atmospheric Circulation

General model reading help:

Model Reading

MOS

Teleconnections

AO and NAO

other teleconnection info

Long Range Forecasting Tools

ENSO

PNA

PDO

Quasi-Biennial Oscillation

"Live" information

SPC Mesoanalysis

National METAR database

Severe Weather: WILL BE HELPFUL TO READ THESE BEFORE LOOKING AT THE MESO PAGE OR SOUNDINGS

CAPE

Lifted Index

Wind Shear

(ball)SWEAT

PWAT

LCL

Helicity

Convective Instability

K Index

Richardson Index

This page is where I got the above links, there are some other cool and interesting components

My link

Also, this has the link to everything:

AMAZING abundance of information there, all rather easy to digest...

This isn't dumb at all. Even I have to go back sometimes and look over stuff. There is a lot of material in this science...you'll never know it all.

Very true, Even more so for guys like myself that don't do it for a living, Have to go back to reference a lot of things to understand the terminology

Tell me about it! 20+ years out of meteorology school and I'm constantly reminded of what I don't remember by the pros here. I don't know about any body else, but I'll go through periods where I'll favor one thing or another over something else then I remember something else and start using that.

Refresher courses are a good thing...

Sharing and helping is not dumb at all, Chris. It is very kind that you want to share the sites you know work for you with others.

P.S. LOVE the little friend you have in your photo. So cute!

He's my little buddy. People laugh all the time when they see a bulky 21 year old man walking around with a 6 pound Chihuahua but I love him haha.
