Chicago WX
Only one city west of the Great Plains. And it's Elko, NV. <_< Yep, fail by me. I tried to incorporate different locations spread throughout the region...but limiting it to 20. I should have added a CO and WA site or something like that. My bad. Mallow
I was thinking of starting a similar contest on the main page, including more western and eastern cities. I also wanted to include some mountain sites, but this requires good coop observations. Think I should do it? I don't think it's a bad idea... but I might limit it to, say, 10-15 cities, max. It would be difficult to narrow it down, but I think participation would be higher (in a nationwide contest) if you keep things simple. I might break it down to regions... maybe something like... Seattle (Pacific Northwest) Salt Lake City (Rockies) Denver (Front Range) Oklahoma City (Southern Plains) Minneapolis (Upper Midwest) Chicago (Western Great Lakes) Pittsburgh (Eastern Midwest/Great Lakes) Memphis or Nashville ("Dixie") Atlanta (Southeast) Raleigh ("Piedmont") Washington (Mid-Atlantic) New York City (Northeast) Boston (New England)
icebreaker5221
I had another idea, where instead of over/under for each city, I list a few sites with similar snowfall totals, and people guess which one will receive the most snow this winter, and which one will receive the least. I then do this for class A cities with similar high amounts of snow, class B cities with slightly less amounts of snow, through D or E or whatever, where all the cities in the same class are from all over the country but with similar annual totals. I think that would be fun, but maybe too complicated? I think people would get it...

You have 3 choices...pick either over, under, or tie for all 20 locations for total snowfall from November 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. Scoring will be simple, the most correct guesses will win.
