Wx4cast
I would prepare for fairly widespread power outages if you live in SNE This is why I asked for an experts opinion.

powderfreak
Man these warm anomalies aren't going away anytime soon... it has been 10 days since my area has either matched or gone below its average minimum temperature. In the next 7 days of BTV's forecast package there is no morning that would have us even at "normal." There is not one morning in the next 5 days where we are forecast to be anywhere close to our average low (between 7F and 20F above normal lows are forecast), and days 6-7 we might get within 3-5F of our normal low. This is astonishing to me that we might go 24 days in October and only reach our average low 3 times.

moneypitmike
Positive departures, positive desmarchures. Highs in the m/u 50's still feel nice--as long as I've got my shawl. CoastalWx
yay more warm rain wahooooooooo This won't be a warm rainstorm. It will warm up after the rain is gone, but for most...it isn't like a high TD rainstorm at temps near 70F. Most of SNE will be in the 50s to low 60s. Parts of GC and up into sw NH might only be near 50.
ORH_wxman
Well Blizz was spot on with the weekend call of 50-60 mph gusts for all Did anyone gust that high? Highest I saw was low 40s. ORH gusted to 41mph....BOS to 40mph...BDL to 32mph....PVD to 39mph....MQE 43mph.

Brian5671
Already does but it depends on where in SNE. There's a Five Guys that I know of in Enfield, CT and I think there is one down by Wallingford or somewhere down in that part of the state. I think Chick-fil-a is in the NW suburbs of Boston. There's several 5 guys down here-Fairfield (opening soon) and Westport area....pretty good burgers at 5 Guys!

Mr Torchey
+8 at BDR forecast high of 69 tomorrow, should be plus ten or higher, I would imagine the departures were a little more reeasonable up north today, find out soon enough
Weather Girl 22
he's trolling--a few weeks ago he called for a warm winter in the sports thread Okay, I only asked that as it seems very unlikely. And not in line with what others were talking about.

(station still sitting on the deck so no official reading again today). Positive departures doesn't mean it feels uncomfortably hot outside, just that its been above normal. An interesting way to look at it is if Boston were to keep up its +6 departure, then the month temp anomaly as a whole would be closer to that of September then October. That would be impressive. 60.9/35, high of 62, after a low of 48. About +3 on the high and +8 on the low for a +6 day. There's several 5 guys down here-Fairfield (opening soon) and Westport area....pretty good burgers at 5 Guys! There's one in Worcester on Lincoln St....and their also opening another one about 2 miles from there in White City on the Shrewsbury/Worcester border. ORH_wxman
I don't know if I can take another year of temp talk. It usually stops when the weather gets interesting. This pattern has been so boring. Maybe we'll get some extreme rainfall in a 6 hour period on Wednesday.
Mr Torchey
I don't know if I can take another year of temp talk. Nina fall for the loss, arent you enjoying the nice weather though? I mean seriously, would you rather have it 40 and dry, or 40 and rain, its useless, we have the chance to have a top 3 warmest fall ever across new england.............. CoastalWx
Is it me or is this the most boring weather pattern in recent years? Sometimes October can be pretty boring. In some years (seems like in more El Nino years) we can get some coastals in here, but this year has been pretty dull. I have had quite a bit of tstm days which is somewhat interesting.
