Logan11
This could be lake effect rain showers here. The stuff coming off Lake Erie looks all lake related. Boston's monthly departure right now is just an all out torch.

HoarfrostHubb
Not sure on the high here, but the late afternoon was anything but above normal. A heavy shower (seemed squall-like) came through and we fell to 46F with a stong wind. Now lighter showers, windy and 47. Same happened here 48F and partly cloudy (and windy)
weatherMA
Same happened here 48F and partly cloudy (and windy) 56/42 and windy...feels cold compared to what we've had lately. 2 years ago its was about 20F cooler and the eve of the 2nd snowfall of the season. Mr Torchey
Oldest is settled in bed watching TV, little man is out, and a nice blazing fire, glass of wine for mom and dad after a very very long week. Enjoy the evening weenies.
Logan11
I thought Safety Dance and the other new wave stuff in the early 80's was so totally modern after the Disco Era we had just endured. At one point in 1983 I remember more than half the acts on the Casey Kasem AT40 countdown were British.... Though Men Without Hats were Canadian actually. What station? I'll check the playlist

snowman21
That is incredible. Just a "normal fall with warm and cold periods" lol. Note that Connecticut has been the cool spot despite its reputation as being torch central.
HIPPYVALLEY
53/41 not much of a cool down tonight with overcast. Nice dry day and great evening.
Logan11
I think the way above normal overnight lows are what has pushed this into a top 10 mild Fall. Yeah it's been above normal by day, but it seems like I recall several Sept/Oct's just as mild. 2005 and 2007 were very warm through middle October around here. No killing frost here yet and the stormy period coming up looks colder, but probably not conducive to a cold clear night. This is very late.... I have had two mid 30ish light ground frosts, but not a killing frost. Just a "normal fall with warm and cold periods" lol. Note that Connecticut has been the cool spot despite its reputation as being torch central.

Hey Scooter, seems like the theme of the season is for cool to underperform and warm to overperform, 58 degrees here, another huge + departure today.
