weatherMA
Not gonna happen for this year's Oct 14th. BDR's low this morning was 63, and the record max low is 64 set in 1990 and 1970. Also, the normal lows for today range from 41 and 42 at BDL and ORH respectively, to 47 at BOS and BDR. The lows in GC would be considered above normal even for those of us living in Torch Country (a.k.a. Connecticut). Wow, I completely forgot average lows are that low. I would bet the average for Pete is down into the 30s now, maybe 37-38. We've been no where near that. I've had 4-5 days with lows below 42. Only two day into the 30s. Damage In Tolland
Rev, What impact do you think the windy conditions will have on your overall race time? If we run into the winds.which I don';t think we will have too much of since the course takes us NE into East hartford and South Windsor..then it would be tough..but if they are` at your back..they can really help improve your time...remember the Boston Marathon this spring? The winners all were wind aided in strong westerlies

If you can run a marathon in under 4 hours you can probably run the 5K in less then 23...but maybe you just do better over longer distances. Good Luck! weatherwiz
Good luck, Kevin! Where is the race at again? I could never ever run 20 miles. I can't even jog anymore. I jogged 3 blocks to the gas station the other night and then back and nearly collapsed a block away from my house...my entire body was oxygen starved. So the fact that these are his next 7 days worth of temps, and he's claiming its normal fall weather, is a major fail. Every single low s above normal (some +20 lows!) with the possible exception of next Thursday, where it may be around normal. Highs are all above normal as well, except for late next week Thursday-Friday which look to be low-mid 50s or around normal for his location by October 20th. lows: 50,42,45,45,53,44,34 highs: 58,59,58,60,62,52,53 Going with those actual temps...and going conservative saying his average is 56/36, the daily departures are +7,+5,+6,+7, +12, +1, -2. avg: +5.5 for the week! Normal fall weather!

Just run/walk for 30 minutes...even if you have to walk 27 of them. Then gradually add some running each day and work your way up to running the full 30 minutes. Then gradually add some running each day and work your way up to running the full 30 minutes. I do a ton of walking...I walk to work all the time and it's a 30-35 minute walk each way. I used to go on like 1-2 HR walks per night in the spring/summer/early fall but didn't do that this summer b/c of my back. Once I get my back checked out and fixed I'm definitely going to start working out and exercising b/c I feel like I'm 60 years old alot of the times.
