Sadly your torch continues until next Friday, hurts me to see lows of 50 in Gods Country when my average low is in the 40s. Man early and middle week next week are going to absolutely torch ahead of that giant lakes cutter, severe weather and record highs, the beat goes on.................................................................................

Nina fall......getting you down Pete, I dont blame you, it is very un~sne like right now........more like a mid november autumn in the piedmont of the carolinas

I'm rarely down. Too much go,go,go energy to get blue. I'll golf somewhere right up until the day I can ski. Making good use of the unusual mild weather to batten down the hatches. Viscious Winter on the way.

i wish someone here had seen their first flakes already...i think i might go into a depression if things don't start feeling more wintery, soon :(

I think a lot of the northern hills (MA/S NH) saw their first flakes on 10/23 last year. That's when we had some flurries. The rest saw them on 11/8.

You might be right, I always like to see a late hot summer warm fall, perhaps lots of snow on the way this winter!

Yeah its very rare for anyone in SNE to see flakes before 10/15. Its about 60-70% of the time it happens in the high hills in the 2nd half of October sometime. For the coastal plain, it usually in November. I don't see any obvious chances in the next 10-14 days, so everyone might have to wait until November this year. But we'll see, we might get a chance at the end of the month for some flakes.

I like that one... vicious winter. Aggressive and foreboding. Will that be the saying this winter instead of "big, big winter"?

Lightning and some distant rumbles off to my SE at 4:30 this morning. Guessing it was about 8 miles away. Now rain (just started back up in the last 1/2 hour or so).

Up extra ealry this morning to finish some work stuff before heading to Towson later this morning. Looking forward to that, but wish I could take the strong winds with me. I'll return to foliage oblivion. Good luck in the marthon, Kevin!!!!

Toasty 55.2/55, with .55" since the rain started two nights ago. Unless a leaf got caught in my bucket, .07" since midnight.

Thanks dude.

Looks like dews get up in the 66-69 range today. Just nasty..Thankfully that all clears outta here tonight.

Looks like winds gusting 50-60 mph tomorrow with flow well aligned from top to bottom and sun..so mixing will be maximized. probably see HWW and advsories go up tonight.

It''ll help tp keep it a little cooler tomorrow for the marathon..just hope we're not running into that wind

All joking aside, best of luck Kev. Quite the accomplishment.
