snowNH
I'd pay a lot of money for a storm that shows that this year.
ski MRG
I buzzed my head to try to copy Kevin. Maybe I'll start slant-sticking and wishcasting with my new look? Every once in a while just blurt out "TORCH" like a Turrets patient and you'll make the transformation complete.

ORH_wxman
Oops wrong image. What a tease that storm was for a few runs. Even besides that one which was the furthest west, there were a couple that crushed the eastern half of NE.

ski MRG
If it was a Saturday, that's the one. We didn't get a single flake. As sad as it was to miss the snow, it was so comical I still laugh. I remember driving to see Bright Nights in Springfield. On the radio that night, they was saying 5-10" or something crazy. I said to my wife "I don't think that's going to happen". Didn't realize it would be bone dry. I think that BOX had upped the ante to 12-18" for the east slope. I went to bed with a smile thinking, as usual, we'd get smoked. Instead, I awoke to not a single flake and Ray asking how I liked smoking cirrus. Worst BOX bust evah.
N. OF PIKE
nice coolish evening out there..... i didn't know a side effect of shrooms were hallucianations of bare trees at 2k... but i can tell you the colors yesterday from 2k to 2.5k around mount snow were awesome. perhaps pete sleep walks out to the front yard and violenlty shakes his trees leafless with his hair blowing in the wind to help reinforce his belief that his climate along the east slope rivals alyeska. Although you could argue if that one hit, the rest of the year would be different...

Oh well you build those yourself at WSI don't you? I think those are probably ok. I was talking about qpf maps and stuff. I don't think thickness data is off limits. They would have had to pay like tens of millions of dollars though, which makes me skeptical. But if they did, kudos to them.

dendrite
I agree with Will. I think we should leave the QPF to WU. As long as it is free there, if people want to post images of the QPF from that site that's fine. I don't think we should be posting images from the private vendors at this point unless it is a map of something readily available on most sites. I don't mind the mean RH/omega stuff being posted. Isn't there a lag with wunderground? There's a minor lag with wunderground, but nothing like the huge lags we saw with accuwx pro and stuff. I think the lag with wunderground is maybe 5-10 min...at least it was during irene, but I haven't checked more recently. If their lag is up to 30 minutes, then I could see them keeping it around because that is the typical lag you see at other sites that charge a low fee for the Euro qpf...ala accuwx pro. CT Rain
Cool. I wouldn't be as worried with the board as I would be as ECMWF complaining to your employer. I'm sure the agreement that your company has with ECMWF has a clause in it about the data not being reproduced even if the graphics are being made by your own system... it is their data afterall.
