baroclinic_instability
The intermountain west is getting hammered across the high elevations. Snow levels are down to the benches in UT (4600 feet), and the ski resorts are getting pounded from the Sierra to the Wasatch to the San Juans. I know we have quite a few skiers across the board, so let us use this thread to track ski conditions across the country this winter as well as personal skiing images. From Snowbird ski resort 8100-10,500 feet. Sandy, UT in the SLC Valley: Mammoth Mtn:

A-L-E-K
might be heading to CO in early Dec if the season gets off to a banging start, otherwise i'll be letting the season play out and head wherever the getting is good in early March.
ski MRG
Nothing like back country AK to get the jones out. Season has started there. BC in the early season and then AK in the later part of March. Until then MRG everyday I can shirk responsibilities.
