weathafella
W-FELLA flipping his forecast because he finally noticed chubby tree rats was the kiss of death and all i needed to realize this winter is going to suck. Be glad for the oct snows where ski mgr is still sending his rock ski's down his last 1' pile of snow like he's at the boy scouts box car derby..brutal euro ending.. AMT except shiny dome. Wrong. BowMeHunter
Wrong. you nailed the elephant... naso much after. I'm worried your shooting from the hips is going to keep missing. Pretty much due for your reasonable first call or worse.

Tropopause_Fold
nice looking cool shot later this week - wish we could get that to hold on. interesting evolution early next week...can kind of see that nina-esque thermal gradient with the coolest air in E and N areas as that HP rotates by to our north. CoastalWx
That system next week has slowly been trending cooler in guidance. Might be something to watch. The ensembles hint at it too. The ensembles also try to get some blocking to out northeast and relax the -PNA, but we still have a huge Bering Sea low that throws mild Pacific air into NAMR. It's better looking today however. Mr Torchey
59 mostly cloudy.............this is incredible, and I am rooting for history. BOS and ORH are both now +4.0 for the month through yesterday with another Massive positive departure today. In a perfect world history would be made, and this horrific torch would actually mean something, December looks just fine as expected..........looking forwards to some winter weather next month. This thread has been hilarious, congrats to those that have won emmys.

CT Rain
I hope it's active and delivers a good stretch of sustained winter. I'm even fine with below normal temps and less snow....just not torch and dry / or cutters Wait... you don't want to hear about "damaging wind gusts" from "screaming sou'easters" once a week? CoastalWx
That ridge next week has slowly trended a little west towards the deep south area it seems. That would help turn this into a Miller B instead of a SWFE as a se ridge would send this into Logan 11's fanny. It's 180 hrs so we know the drill, but perhaps something to watch. CoastalWx
Teleconnections slowly improve with a falling NAO towards negative state and rising -PNA. However the same thing happened 2 weeks ago and that was a fail. The key is to bring up heights in AK. That needs to be done.

It will be important to get a wholesale change up there to get the change moving. Though we may see some transient cold shots the entire pattern is just pretty warm. CoastalWx
I surmise the weeklies were pretty discouraging? Yeah they weren't pretty. They kept the AK trough going through the period, but slowly bring up ridging towards the Aleutians.
