Colorado doesnt seem to get the colorful variety that we get in the Lakes/Midwest/NE, but the golden aspens, contrasted with the green conifers and gorgeous mountains/sky make the scene beyond breathtaking. The Aspens in peak The Aspen really made the scene spectacular. We got lucky with both the timing of the peak and the spectacular weather. A week later and everything would have been coated in snow. Fully agree, although there were more reds around then what is seen in my pics. But yeah, the golden Aspen really make up for the lack of reds you see around in the Lakes/MN with the Maple and other red leaf autumn deciduous trees.
