das
Persistent Arctic stratospheric cold (but not anomalously cold) last year led to Arctic ozone depletion cycle more typical of Antarctic. Here is a link to the abstract: JPL (et. al.) 2011 Arctic Ozone Study Supplemental paper discusses methodology of the study: Nature10556-s1.pdf Radiosonde data were collected from 14 Arctic stations: Nature10556-s3.pdf If anyone wants the data (6mb .zip file), send me a PM and I'll e-mail it or swing it out to a pickup location. WxUSAF
Interesting. Were you involved with this work at all?
das
Interesting. Were you involved with this work at all? Tangentially at the executive level. Research output like this helps build the roadmap for the replacements for AURA and CALIPSO. Last time I did "real" research on the topic was for Antarctic polarstratospheric ozone depletion studies 20+ years ago. Seems like a lifetime ago...
