Harry
Nice, date? Here is the GRR write up about the waves/storm/winds etc. Per them a new wave height record was set on Buoy at the southern end of the lake. Records though only go back to 1981. The southern buoy read a monster 23 foot wave at 4 am this morning with a wind speed of 51 mph! Looking at the National Data Buoy Center website this is the highest wave recorded on the southern buoy since the records indicate as far back as 1981. Link to full story from GRR. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display_cmsstory.php?wfo=grr&storyid=73523&source=2 They have some nice pics of the wave action too.
