dendrite
Looks like all sites have basically leveled off from 18z. The deep interior (ORE/AFN/EEN) has jumped another 1-2F though.
HoarfrostHubb
Gardner, MA WxBug (a few miles from here) has hit 79.7F (good enough for 80) I'm still at 78F
moneypitmike
BOX for the win re: western Franklin. Topped at 78.2, down to 77.7, great breeze. Just snapped a few pictures from my running route--foliage muted, but it has improved a little for the Hilltown leaf peepers in Shelburne.
HoarfrostHubb
Mike, you do live in GC... great route and pics... I would even run that. How long is the loop?
moneypitmike
Mike, you do live in GC... great route and pics... I would even run that. How long is the loop? Thanks. It's a 4.7 mile loop. A combination of steady, rolling, or steep hills. Either way, you're always going up or down. Know level areas. 77.3/

nutmegfriar
Biting flies FTL! Got me out in Long Island Sound and in my backyard today. Niantic Bay was beautiful at sunrise. Just a brutal brutal day for the time of year. Let's get this nonsense out of the way now,,instead of later this month or Nov when we want it cold. Took the kids to the valley to a corn maze, pumpkin picking, tractor rides..and the car thermo read 87 at it's warmest. It was a sweatbox in the corn maze. Just drenched with no wind or air movement...Valley trees are still about 85-90% green
Johnno
Took a quick drive north into extreme southern GC (Granville/Tolland Mass.) and there was a little color but very spotty. High temp was 80 on top of the hill in Granville but it was a beautiful day to be outside for sure. OT but DT just put his forecast out for winter on FB, he is a chooch but I'll take his forecast

Baroclinic Zone
Impressive overnight temp fall. Mirrored the rise yesterday. Bottomed out at 44F, a 35F delta. Crazy. Temp forecasted for 85F today. That would be a 41F swing. Verified 41f swing today.
Ginx snewx
Amazing temp difference in the shade today, very very comfortable in the shade watching Men's softball finals this afternoon, very dry air, cooling off quickly.

The 1500' elevation there is great. Right next to the Farmington River--really scenic. You can then head down from there back into CT (into Colebrook maybe?). Nice ride. moneypitmike
Verified 41f swing today. Congrats!! Pats offensive line looking pretty sucky. Bradys eating a lot of dirt. Maybe the heat's getting to them. 74.4/

moneypitmike
Changing but hideous color Raking piles for my daughter to jump in the last couple of days--so weird to see so many leaves down but they are dropping brown and crusty. Very few reds/oranges as shown in my pics. Yellow's fine when it's mixed in with the other colors, but when it's the predominant one, meh. 73.8/

CapturedNature
Had a high of 73 yesterday and a low of 45 this morning....nice temperature swing so we'll see if we can break 80 today. Looks like I didn't quite hit 80. I topped out at 77 but it helps having a hill to my west and the daytime heating stopping at 2PM. Down to 64 now...can we make the 40s again? Great dry weather out there....

Oh, Goshen certainly is, but much of GC fell short, including Pete, Dave, and me. I think several others fell short, too. 70.2/
