Mid summer morning out there with a nice breeze ripping around. Mixing will be maximized today judging by this wind in the hills

80's for all!!

47F for my overnight low and looking to add 35 degrees to that

Hope you can keep it to 32 or less so there's more than Pete and I that can report the "80's fail."

49/49. off a low of 41, A perfect holiday weekend with chilly overnight lows and warm days. Putting the mild weather to good use today getting Winter prep chores started (washing storm windows that'll be put up soon, final mowing). I feel sorry for the poor souls that seem to think 80's will abound. Not here in GC, the slide back to rain and 50* highs starts Tuesday until then comfortable 70's.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 76. Northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 49. Light west wind.

Columbus Day: Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 74. Calm wind becoming northwest between 4 and 7 mph.

Wow if the forecast is 76F for you then much of the region should get well into the mid-80's with quite a few upper 80's to near 90F then. Kind of shocked NWS only has 85F for Hartford.

I'm hoping your Jets win today but they really haven't looked so good. That's why I picked the pathetic Pats in my football pool. It's funny how you an Kev get wood over a few nice days in October. It happens nearly every year.

This is how Pete and MIke's cold October has worked out so far, through yesterday........

ORH +0.5

PVD +1.8

BOS + 3.2

Its going to be scary looking back at these numbers in two weeks.................fiyah!

Circle of Sizzle

I have NEVER said it hasn't been an above normal October. Just because it's cooler here than most places does NOT have any bearing on the "relatives to normal". I will not be suprised if I stick in the 70's (BOX seems to think that will be the case as they have 'upper 70's for the high). Based on the comments from most here, I won't be terribly surprised if I do break 80*. Since I haven't hit that mark since early August, it certainly will be a feat.

I'll take the under, though.

I truly enjoy the heat, Kevin ( I cant speak for) ...........the Jets are awful, no offensive line whatsoever. September was an absolute inferno, October might be even warmer, there is no cool, there is no normal, all it is is a full on torch pattern plain and simple, you had just better hope it changes before winter. Its possible for different people to like different things!!

I've had 2 frosts and 2 hard freezes, last year when we had a warm spell in October people we're calling it "Winter Over".lol Snachez game plan= Full Panic mode. My hope for the Jets game is that, by some miracle they win and Brady gets knocked out for the season.
