Mr. Windcredible!
Uh-oh, NWS has 81 for a high in W. Chesterfield on Sunday. depends on where you click on the point and click...I found a 79 in the area. I'm thinking he doesn't report anything higher than 75. Quite honestly, if he actually hits 80, I think I'd be more impressed with that than if BDL were to tie/break their all-time October high.

CT Rain
The wet and wild storm looks more interesting on the Euro today and the never ending torch is gone. Not too exciting as progged... but if the thing really goes to town in the Gulf and becomes something stronger then it would be interesting. wxmanmitch
Missed out on frost again here last night due to some clouds that drifted in from the N. I guess ALY's freeze warnings didn't verify. I was expecting my location to go below freezing last night, but I only hit 36 right before daybreak after the clouds departed. During the cloud cover it was about 39 or 40. Thursday's low was 34, which occurred around 3 AM before rising 3 degrees due to some winds and mixing. Winds or clouds...one or the other. Couldn't seem to buy the ideal radiational cooling night during this cold snap. Tonight looks like it could be good for radiational cooling, but dew points are a bit high for frost. I expect that the valley may fog up at 38 or 39 tonight. I guess the first freeze will have to wait at my location until we can get a good solid shot of CAA. So much for radiational cooling getting the job done...

powderfreak
Driving back to North Woodstock from I-84 yesterday evening around 11pm the temperature on my car was 42F as I passed the Tolland exit, then I saw it dip down as low as 38F in Union passing Bigelow Hollow state park, before rising back to 41F at the camp. This morning when I woke up it was 36F on our open hill with no visible frost on field or cars. I bet there was some frost down in the 500ft range where winds probably went calm. Even at 2am when I woke up I noticed occasional light ruffling of the leaves outside the window so I figured we'd miss a frost anyway due to light wind. H2Otown_WX
Does anyone know if you can get daily climate data on the NWS site beyond two months? It doesn't seem like you can but I found this site that's European/Spanish I guess. http://www.tutiempo.net/en/Climate/Danbury_Danbury_Municipal_Airport/01-2009/725086.htm Just have to do some conversions but other than that it's a pretty cool site. After spending some time in OT I realize that you are only a minor league troll. This is a perfect example of over-reaching. Subtle trolling is more interesting and more effective. Please tell me I won't see any snow until December. I want to be able to taunt you with pics. Also, it's a good omen to have you forecasting this scenario as it is now very unlikely to happen. Just like when you laughed at me in August when I said I'd get my first frost 9/16 ( I was off as it happened 9/17) . Good times.
