I love "busting" on the forecast. People are so kind...

so how is it the Weather Gang can be so far off, say 180 degrees off, in its forecast? I pick up this morning's Post and glance at the weather page at the back of the Metro section. It shows a perfectly clear, sunny day for today in both the diagram and the narrative portion, but in reality it's a perfectly cloudy day. do you just roll the dice or what? and why waste our time (and yours) pretending to predict weather a few days down the road when you're so consistently wrong with the immediate forecast. maybe you should go into economics instead.

true. i think people are under the false assumption that a day 1 forecast is always cut and dry. honestly i ignored the troughiness still over the area which i should not have but NWS was going fully sunny as of midnight last night.

Well, people on CWG are less astute than here. I wouldn't call today being 180 degrees off. It was a pleasant day with no rain. Just wait until we blow a snow forecast, then it will bring out the real hate.

Screw them people. Ian, you should've asked him to do the next forecast and see how he does.

Be careful with that Wes, remember the loon from last winter and then Jerry called him up. LOL. All kinds of crazies out there

True it was cloudy till about 3-4pm was in FDK and the sun came out by the time we got home had a great looking sunset with some cirrus clouds and a neat purple sky.

820pm and down to 45* now
