And how.

Looks like another wkend of cancelled soccer games for my youngest...the fields just can't take this many days of rain and no sun after all the rain from the past 45 days.

Thunder too!

yeah, I know - I'm on the rain more please side as I don't want to play ball tonight.

After what fell Wed and Thurs with as little drying time as there was, I will be hella impressed with whatever field you are on for softball if they can get this in. I would have to think you will be at home tonight.

well, it is a makeup game as it is. So I would imagine they will want to try and get the game in, and if it gets rained out, again, it won't be made up.

I'm okay with that.

You are just saying that so you can stay in first place.

well yes, however it would also hurt us as the other two good teams are set to play each other tonight.

do you EVER want to play? lol

usually, but we have had a rough week and could use a night to ourselves

And if they did land in a truck...can you teach my trees that trick? It'd sure be helpful come raking season (which, apparently starts this weekend thanks to these storms)

You probably already know this but the trick is to keep your lawn cut tight the next month or so. Every strong cold front takes care of the raking for you. I don't think my neighbors like this though......

My problem is the large trees are in the back of the yard, and all the leaves get blown into the flower beds up against the fence. I actually don't get too many leaves in the yard. Which, at that point, in the yard is a heck of a lot easier to clean up than stuck on top of mulch.

More from WTOP about UMD's tornado alert last evening:

http://www.wtop.com/...=58&sid=2592581

Accuweather was involved and I love the quote at the end about "seeing what the NWS says."

My gosh....talk about not willing to admit fault. I really enjoyed Mike Smith's talk at the conference but this is going too far. JUST ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG ACCUWEATHER/MARYLAND.

However, the far more important note is that Wunderground now has Euro snowfall.

Life just keeps getting better.:sled:

Gonna feel like October , finally, this weekend. Harvest Parade downtown Martinsburg in the morning with some sun, an apparent temperature of 58 and a wind gusting 23-28. We're also headed to a pumpkin patch Sunday morning, with more sun, similar temps and much less wind.
