NCSNOW
Boone is sitting at 32 right now with reports of snow for the last few hours. The rates should really pick up as the main precip band starts to move in from Tenn. I think they might get a surprise heavy event tonight. NWS should post Winter Storm Warnings... Cam is frozen up at Beech Mtn Pkwy on lense. So all precip from here on out will be frozen in some form. http://www.highcount...eechparkway.htm
snowman22
Starting to feel the NW Breeze starting to kick in, starting to get colder too. Btw, could you imagine the meltdown the SE board would have if we were getting snow (AL,MS,SC,GA).

ATL_Militarypolice
Currently 52 with a drizzle. Been a steady rain and occasional drizzle over the past hour or so. Good luck to those who are expecting to see the white stuff tonight. Can't wait till our first "real" threat for the south comes, and the play by play model runs begin. Blue Ridge
Rainy and wet it has been all day. Persistent drizzle and occasional heavier showers have made for what I consider to be a lovely fall afternoon. Temperatures are just now dipping into the 30s. Depending on how reports look in the morning I may make a quick trip into NC. Current stations with temperature readings at or below 49F degrees: (temperature is in black, dew point is in blue.) Gastonwxman
Been getting a couple of downpours since this evening. Currently 40 now and the way things are trending on radar, it looks to last for the rest of the night as another band heads up along I85. Could get heavier than it is now. Up to .14" so far. FoothillsNC
Had .53" rain with this system. Some notes on this one are that NAM was too cold, even after adjusting to a warmer scenario for VA and NC later on in runs. Could be from the upgrade. GFS looked too far south with its precip, so thats another bias. Overall the damming did well in NC...I dropped into the low 40s last night and went to 39 a couple hours ago. The sun should be back this afternoon with downsloping and the first frost is possible Sunday AM.
