38 degrees with intermittent sunshine currently. The wind continues to howl.

On a side note, here's a temperature graph for Boone yesterday. Any guesses of what time the front came through.

Like your Avatar!! mine would be the maroon can...straight long cut!

currently 43° and windy here

Well again temps look to be under most guidance today again. NWS was calling for 61 but looks like 58 will be the max. Partly sunny and 57 currently. Calling for a low of 41 even with light mixing could see the upper 30s possible.

I know NWS calling for 37 here saturday night, could be lower by a couple degrees if we get good radiational cooling. Maybe even a frosty morning for portions of the piedmont sunday.

Just out of curiosity.... is it just south va/ north nc area?

But the stink bugs have been horrible this year. They are every where trying to find shelter for this coming winter. You walk outside and bombarded by them. I dont know how they're getting in the house, but Ive been killing them left and right. Normally they are not this bad around fall but I not sure what is up with this year.

Currently 58 or so here. Not too windy as others have noted. Leaves are really beginning to change in a hurry now. Yesterday's windy wx in the afternoon knocked quite a few down. The best part so far has been watching the crab grass die off. Now just to keep it from coming back in the spring!

brrr is right lol. current temp 45.1, the high was 45.9 (yeah i know splitting hairs with tenths of a degree :) ) normally i like clouds and wind, but i am ready for them both to go away so we can get our first frost of the season tonight :snowman:

Currently it is 43 degrees while other surrounding areas are in the lower 40's/upper 30's. It never made it up to the forecasted high of 49 and the sun never came out which is why. It's been drizzling for most of the day and the wind has gusted pretty solid all day. :snowman:

Edit: Some of the rain might of been mixed with some sleet/snow but it was tough to tell.

same here on the temps. I've noticed in cold advection episodes, they're going too high. A high of 59 today, and forecast was low 60s. I can't recall seeing a forecast of erring on the cold side in the last 2 or 3 years, except maybe in a couple brutal heat waves, which is strange. The stink bugs are more noticeable this year too. Worst of all are the fireants and granddaddy longleg spiders. Both are the worst I've ever noticed here.

good luck with that. Also, the winds here weren't too bad until just a couple hours ago..they were late to get started but had a few gusts up to 25 I think.

Any ideal why?

Luckly fire ants haven't made their way up here... yet. But I dont ever remember stink bugs as bad.
