Ridingtime
Here is an interesting article about it: http://www.freakonomics.com/2011/09/27/an-algorithm-that-can-predict-weather-a-year-in-advance/ And here is the actual website: http://www.weathertrends360.com/ Uses algorithms, similar to how Pandora predicts your favorite music, to predict yearly weather for any location. Does all of it with 100+ years of data. Looked at the "yearly forecast" for NYC and Winter 2011-2012 does not look so good hah Curious to get some of the mets here take on it. I was looking through the specific forecast to my area in NYC and I did not notice any significant snow events. January also looked fairly warm. You think their stuff is legit? Long range snowfall forecasts are very tricky to say the least. We did much better last winter than they were calling for. http://www.weathertr...n-Hemisphere-
