turtlehurricane
First frontal band of precip is about to move in, which will be followed by an even more potent area of precip in a few hours associated with the low pressure center. When it rains it pours.

turtlehurricane
Well, can't say you get hit by a cyclone every night. Getting bands of fairly heavy rain as the 1002 mb low comes in from the WSW. Clearly defined in the surface wind field, too bad the winds are only 10-20 mph

an uncanny otter
Yesterday was yet another day where we were only forecast for ~10 mm and ended up getting way more than that. The rains were a constant heavy soaker from the early morning to the mid-afternoon. By the time all was said and done, 40 mm (1.6") of rain had fallen. I can't even recall how many 1"+ rain days we've had this year, more than any other in recent memory. We've had nearly 12" of rain since September 1st. Let the record-breaking precipitation continue
wisconsinwx
Well, I was wrong that we'd be lucky to see a tenth of an inch of rain. We have had light rain almost constantly today, and an area of moderate to heavy rain is making its way eastward toward L Michigan. Even with a dry two weeks before this, the sides of the road are piling up with water pretty quickly, considering we've only had a couple tenths of an inch today. cyclone77
Kind of interesting transition here today. Was dark/overcast/misty/foggy all morning. Around noon the front blew through and cleared the skies. The rest of the afternoon was windy and sunny. Turned out to be a pretty nice day. wisconsinwx
I'd rather take mid 20's and -SN over this junk today. A chilly-ish rain mixes it up. It should be fine once in awhile.
