HoarfrostHubb
Yep, agreed. Let the snowpack build. Good correlation?
Damage In Tolland
Sunday could be a torch. Over the top warmth with downslope nw wind and +15 to+16 850 temps. Onshore flow may temper the warmth Tuesday on, but it's pretty mild no doubt. I guess the question is what happens later next week with any moisture coming north. 80's..AMOUT
ORH_wxman
Good correlation? Yes. It doesn't always work, but I think it was something like 70% of the time you get a -NAO/AO when there is above average October snow pack in that region.

HIPPYVALLEY
I'll take the torch if it means we finally have a few sunny days in these parts. 55/50 with mostly clear skies finally. Hopefully the precip stays E. of here tonight.

CoastalWx
It's too bad lower levels weren't 5C colder. This is almost a windex sounding..lol. Relatively unstable with TTs of 53.

Right now there is really no sign of that happening as the W AK/Bering vortex is just kind of camping out. Perhaps we see a shift beyond mid-month, but I'll start feeling a bit uneasy if we do not. The vortex doesn't look too bad on the euro ensembles. It actually looked pretty strong over Siberia.
Mr Torchey
58/41 Light rain only minutes away, temp should drop rapidly as we wet bulb. Looks like rain and mid to upper 40s with a nice north wind, finally going to feel autumnal
CoastalWx
So record high is 82 Sunday for BOS. Seems like that will be broken, unless some feeble seabreeze interferes, but it seems likely.
