I wish they had waited longer into the season for Riverton. Folks would get a hard lesson in mtn meteorology. Riverton gets some classic cold fronts in late fall/winter with difficult to assess/forecast upslope flow into the Wind River Range. Squally precip is highly dependent upon the orientation of the cold front as well as the moisture content along/behind and also the froude number. Reminds me of Calgary as they have similar forecast challenges.

Question: All I can see on the results page is my national ranking for Miami, and my national ranking for Riverton, separately. But I want to see my overall national ranking that combines both Miami and Riverton. How do I do this?

Edit: I know there is the "Cumulative Results" page, but I think this page is equally weighing Riverton and Miami as if we've been issuing forecasts for the same number of days in both of those cities, which obviously isn't true. No way I moved up from 640th to 187th in just one day of Riverton...

We have only been through two cities so far and your worst city score is dropped so your national ranking shown would be for whichever city you did better in so far.

Oh okay, I didn't know that. Thanks!

It'd still be nice if there was a way to show how you would be doing if the lowest city wasn't dropped, though.

Yesterday's MOS guidances (especially the GFS MOS) has a spike in wind velocities around 21z. Obviously that's passed, but I wonder if they're correct and we jump up to 15 or 20 knots for a time, or if it ends up being a flat-out bust.

I know very little about high-elevation forecasting, but I think somebody mentioned something about afternoon downsloping winds?

Thank God, because I totally forgot to forecast last night lol. Of course I'll probably forget some other city at some point.
