Mr Torchey
I'm on board for a huge cold, snowy winter. This fall blows though. All signs are poiting to another south of Pike type of winter..no gradients thankfully Last year at this time you were going warm and not much snow, I remember vividly talking to you about this at that awful tap room in west bumble fook mass, you were saying 40 inches of snow for BDL.............. , many mets did not disagree, go against the grain once again! Ginx snewx
Fog?? Fog yesterday and today here, vis yesterday under a 1/4 today 1/2. Coastal areas AIT, by the way total precip for your back yard thru next week on all models nearing 4 inches, normal for entire month 4.25. Why anyone would want it cold now is beyond me, but foggy, muggy and drizzly with periods of heavy rain, blah.
Ginx snewx
Yesterday was beautiful and the rain is just about done for ct today. Outside of one cool shot this summer and fall is warm, your pattern recognition has been awful, the rubber band never broke, the one recurving typhoon never changed the pattern. There was no fog yesterday in SWCT or today? WTF are you talking about/, I showed you my average temp for the summer, just because your urban heat swamp is hot and muggy does not mean all of SNE was. Oh and by the way the last recurve before ROKA, our weekly average temp was -2.5 which was ten days after the recurve. Expect the same by Oct 3rd. No, today should not be as nice as yesterday, although I would not rule out some sun, and the humidity is disgusting, thankfully one ac unit was left in the house. ski MRG
62/61, rain, looks like clouds and showers for the forseeable future. Highest forecast temp here the next 7 days, 70. Damage In Tolland
maybe one day MRG will understand what an above normal pattern means..other than looking at daytime highs lol With the pattern changing little, we are going to continue throwing tropical moisture at the East. The upper flow will be from the south-southwest, and the low level flow from the south and southeast. Both mean moisture and humidity, and high levels of it. That translates to temperatures persistently above normal through the weekend, with the largest anomalies in New England and eastern New York state. While some of this will be with regard to the daily highs, it will be most noted in the night time lows that ought to be in the 40s and 50s. Instead, they'll be largely in the high 50s and 60s. wxmanmitch
Sun poked through a bit around noon, but it was self destructive in that it initiated numerous convective showers. Temperatures in the low 70s with dew points right around it. I hate it! Glad I didn't put the AC away just yet. I was tempted to this past weekend with nights in the mid 30s, but I decided to leave it in until 10/1 just in case.
Mr Torchey
absolute torch down here making a run at 80 but its the humidity, but as expected in this set up, even with the heavy rains that may come, should be times like this where its downright tropical.
