ski MRG
Pete I have seen the light......it was a cool summer, and has been a chilly September so far, I give up. Finally come to your senses eh. Good, perhaps Blizz will follow your good example.
Professional Lurker
and...........how wonderful that kool-aid is Have you ever tried BBC's Octoberfest? It's a much better interpretation of a true German Octoberfest beer... Sam Adams doesn't have a clue about it...

Professional Lurker
The Steel Rail is amazing. Someone we know was zipping the B'East today sweet, that's always a fun time. I handed them the keys to the rental shop shortly after ski season ended, and I haven't been there since. I'm wondering if/when I'll get the call for this upcoming season. If I don't get the call, I may have to break down and buy passes. ...sucks!
Logan11
38/35 here now. But we are running a lot colder than most reporting stations so I have to wonder if we can keep up this descent. sweet, that's always a fun time. But we are running a lot colder than most reporting stations so I have to wonder if we can keep up this descent. I'm working nights now, and I came home from work around 7 or so this morning. temp in the car was 37, and it was interesting to see a few houses with a whitened roof at the bottom of my hill, but up where I am, no frost. Went apple picking today in Walpole NH, and was floored with how bad the mosquitoes were. I guess they didn't get THAT cold last night.... btw, Honey Crisp apples ftw. Logan11
I can't tell you how many times I've been bitten in the last month. Between the mosquitos and the slugs it's been a mess out there. I got attacked last week in the garden trying to pick any remaining stuff as fast as possible. Now I have just abandoned it to them... Bring on winter. Bring on winter. For the most part, we had a confoundingly mosquito-free summer (dry???). Until Irene and the subsequent rains (Lee??). Since then they've been awful. Not the regular mosquitoes, a smaller variety. Look the same as normal ones, but only about 1/2 to 3/4 the size. Much more discreet, and ferocius. I wish the cooler weather may have calmed them down a bit, but I'm pretty sure they'll be back with a vengence. Warm night. Can't tell what my low was, but I'm at 49* now. weatherwiz
Cool shot has disappeared late week AMOUT. Above normal starts Tuesday I really wouldn't be surprised if some locations can actually make a run at 80F or maybe even 81F or 82F depending on cloud cover and such. It actually even appears that the front next week may actually somewhat stall before crossing through here so we'd be looking at above-average through next weekend. Above normal starts Tuesday In New Orleans beginning on Tuesday--torch for me until my return on Saturday. Even if we're above normal then, it'll feel like a nice cooldown from this hateful upcoming trip. 52.

CoastalWx
Could be a really wet end of the week if that front stalls. Muggy one too, but high temps may be held back by rain and clouds.

cheetah440
That would be awesome, at least Will would have a beer with me after golf.,Pete and Cheetah will have a perrier and wrap, discussing Rush Limbaughs best moments! Hogwash, I'll drink beer with you. Maybe a shot of VO as well. And politics is boring outside of PR. Let's quit talking about it and book something. 27th or 28th are now best for me. Would love to have Will join us, The Ranch is only about 1 hr for him. Let's firm it up and make the tee time, we are running out of days here and I since I'm likely going to be banned by next year, let's get it done. CoastalWx
Euro looks like it gives us a good soaking with the stalled front, but then a wicked high amplitude pattern sets up that sends a cool shot into New England as a ridge torches the plains and west. Models are really back and forth with how strong the trough is.

Hopefully we can at least keep some cold shots backing in with that trough axis just to our east.
