moneypitmike
Just got in from a race in Northborough and some shopping in Shrewbury. Much cooler here at the Pit. But, I did just take a look at my high temp for the day. My Home Depot special recorded a high temperature of 95*. T-O-R-C-H.

powderfreak
56/38 (holding in the low 50's across the high terrain), sunny skies and crisp Autumn air. Just had a delicious apple right off the tree. Nothing finer than Autumn in New England. I missed a few pages in this thread when the board was down this morning... was curious how low you got last night? I was a bit surprised to see a bunch of those east slope stations stayed above freezing. The 1,400ft Chester Hill spot is showing 38F for a low., 1,450ft in Otis was 41F, Beckett at 1,375ft was 34F and Peru at 1,900ft was 34F. Can't find anything under 33.5F which surprises me. I would've guessed all of those sites would've been 30-32F given the drop yesterday evening. Maybe they'll have better luck tonight. NWS up here is going a degree colder than last night with a low of 31F.

Damage In Tolland
You lost the overall bet pretty easily guaranteeing during the cold snap that you wouldnt get below 44F. Some clouds last night prevented it from happening two days in a row...but it was an easy win for Scooter. He won on Friday morning sure..by 2 degrees..even without clouds last nite..it wouldn't have dropped below 44. So that one I win
Damage In Tolland
Cool shot disappeared late next week on the Euro..Instead we're in a muggy sw flow with an ULL stalled over the Ohio Valley. Ugly for those thinking Spetember will be below normal. Crazy how the Euro totally lost the cool look in the extended
ski MRG
Dropped below 32 at 5:40am, remained at 31.8 for 20 minutes, dropped to 31.5 at 6:00am for 10 minutes then started to climb back up. First frost on September 17th, exactly the date of our average first frost but one day later than I forecast in August. I was surprised that Peru dropped to 34 as I thought they would have been a bit warmer being a hill top.

HoarfrostHubb
lol. Well, he is saying what it shows, and all of SNE (major stations, I know Iknow) are above... And it does not mean we will be hitting 80F... just less cold showing. I will enjoy this while it lasts. Tuesday will probably be warm since that is when my school has Open House. ski MRG
It's been a hot summer but Irene changed the pattern. Onward towards winter! I respectfully disagree wrt to Summer here at least. Two 90* days in July, only two 80* days in August. Warm nights but the days were not impressively warm. Winter will be a wild ride this go round. JJBASHB
Matches up well with what I saw. 33.4, and I think my thermometer is a degree or so off... frost on roofs, some grass, deck railings this morning. It was invigorating to step out last night. Took the Kestrel out because I thought my thermometer was off as well. There must have been a hole in the overcast. ski MRG
48/45, just had dinner at the Worthington GC. There's a panoramic view and I watched the broken clouds push off to the SE as a large area of clear sky sky moved in overhead. It's showing up nicely on the vis satellite. Hoping for more frost on the pumpkin. So nice to have 30's becoming a regular occurence once again.
