ski MRG
I think the clouds capped temps by a few degrees, but still pretty dam cold. Board must have gone AWOL earlier. Still think September ends up AOA?

dendrite
Nice trough on the ens at d9-10 as well. We may get a little warmer/wet toward the middle/end of next week, but it appears we may escape September w/o a torch the rest of the way. The GEFS keep us troughed overall in the extended as well. CoastalWx
We're not sure what is up with the occasional outages, but we've been diligently working on the issue. I was up at 7am and it was down from then until 9. Oh it's all good. You guys bust your chops trying to keep the board going smoothly. I know you guys do your best. In any case, the euro slams a trough into NE in the later stages of the run. The ensembles also have this..just not as prolific. Massive PNA ridging aiding in this. weatherwiz
It should not be this cold this early...should stay at least 70F until December 1st, then let it be as cold as it wants with as much snow as possible until March 31st.

CEF, OWD, and TAN hit 37F. Up here, CON hit 32F. I only had 35.8F so the bug in my sig lives on.

CoastalWx
Still think September ends up AOA? Well I think it will, but it depends on how the pattern looks in the next two weeks. If we get substantial troughing, then it might knock it down closer to normal..but I think we all still end up + as of now. This is nothing new, since Nina/-PDO Septembers and even Octobers are usually warm over the northern tier of the US. It's usually November when it flips. ski MRG
As Weatherx thought as well LOL, I thought it was something like that. Normally I wouldn't care much about the overall flavor of September but with LL touting a super torch and Blizz mocking my 9/16 forecast for a first frost date this is sweet. I see that even the hilltops came close to frosting here with Peru down to 34 @ 1900'. I wonder if MPM got into the mid 30's as well.

wxmanmitch
As expected clouds kept our temperatures above freezing last night. In addition, we didn't go calm until probably close to midnight. Reached 36 IMBY. No frost was visible on the lawn. PSF will often have trouble decoupling during a NW flow situation. AQW tends to decouple much better as it is in a deep valley, but they were only 35 last night, probably due to the clouds.
HoarfrostHubb
Looks like the high clouds are putting a cap on how cold it gets. Frost will be sparse. I'm sure MRG will report it, but very few areas will get frost tonight unless we can get a clearer zone come through in the next 3-4 hours. Still a very chilly night though for this time of year. Got frost here (not big, but still there when I walked the dog at 7AM) Roofs, some grass had it. I saw 33.7F on my thermo, min said 33.4F, local mesosite reported 34F Still, not bad at the town soccer fields. PErfect morning. Of course, our furnace crapped out overnight so no hot water. We were not running it for heat (thermostats are way down) but the shower ran cold. Not kicking on despite having plenty of oil. Grrrrrrrr
weatherwiz
Yeah...I missed John's msg to me before I posted. The problem wasn't on our end though. I just had issues with Comcast as well. I paid $115 to them a few days after Labor Day but I was a few days late so it was shut off for one day. I paid it and all my services were restored. Well on Saturday, the day of the g2g I wake up and everything is shut back off. I call and they said I owed another $155...I was like, "WTF? I just paid $115". The guy turned everything back on for me and I said I could have that money by Thursday (2 days ago). Well I called and they said that isn't due until October 1st I hate Comcast, only have them b/c the Triple Play package was only $100 for new customers for one year (more like $120 with all those hidden taxes/fees) then it goes up to $135 for the second year then $145 for the third year. I can't wait for Verizon Fios to make it up here.
