powderfreak
WOW...I did NOT know this happened... Bretton woods snow That's awesome! Looks more like wind-driven ice pellets, probably mixed with a few flakes... but we'll take it this time of year. I can pretty safely say there were no real snowflakes that fell and/or accumulated on Mount Mansfield/Stowe Ski Area... plenty of reports from Mountain Ops crews of ice pellets or graupel or whatever those frozen early season ice chunks are called from steep low level lapse rates and upslope flow. But it just wasn't cold enough in the atmosphere where the lift was occurring (primarily low level terrain driven lift) to develop actual snowflakes. We can put a "T" for frozen precipitation, but IMO it still hasn't "snowed" in the sense that you look and see actual flake structures falling. ski MRG
44.6F I'm getting a little afraid for my elephant ear. We only a need a little over 1F/hr the rest of the night for 32F. Please pray for it. I think we're both in good shape. I just covered some of our stuff in the garden as I'm now convinced we'll have at least an hour or two AOB freezing. Oh your stuff is going to be frozen solid tomorrow morning... ice in the bird bath? lol. I wish we were clear and calm... but alas its still 47F with clouds still streaming off the Green Mountain Spine and the NW wind is still a pesky 3-5mph. If this moisture doesn't get out of here and/or the wind doesn't go calm to stop these clouds from forming on the upslope, we may end up quite a bit higher than the 30F progged. I could see 37F with clouds and a breeze.

HoarfrostHubb
Where's the beef? 42.5F I often wonder if my thermo runs a little cold... the local mesosite is at 45.0 We are usually pretty even for highs, but I sometimes get colder lows by a degree or 2. Of course, where the other site is it is more wooded than my yard (just a little) and he is on a little more of a hill. Davis didn't say anytihing about their experience with ones struck by lightning, But, they said they can fix everything for less than a new one. They've fixed ones that were in close proximity to lightning strikes before. Really all they will do is replace the board. For them it's literally unscrewing the one that's there and swapping in a new one. Probably a $100 repair. I assume you tried Ginx's suggestion of removing all the power and then powering it back up to see if it resets itself and starts working again? Sometimes nearby lightning strikes will merely cause it to lock up without any real damage having been done.
