Yeah nasty day behind that front. 48at SLK.

Yeah its been falling all morning here... 52F now with rain continuing in the village at 800ft. Our station at Mountain Operations for the ski resort has slipped down to 49F at 1,500ft.

Summit station at 4,000ft is down to 42F now as H85s continue to fall.

Looks like the anafrontal rains are really drying up down this way to our west, with some storm firing along the front to my east.

BTW next week looks insane sunny skies, temps in the low to mid 70s and overnight lows in the 50's to near 60, color up north should really start to pop over the next ten days.

so much for JB's storms this month...

and these anafronts rarely seem to work out in these parts...looks like we'll see zero which is fine-still drying out from Irene and last week.

Light rain and 53 here... Back edge of this "shrinking" rain band is an hour away maybe.

I'm going to head out to Home Depot at some point and buy something to get by so I can at least know what's happening temp wise. Meanwhile, I'm going to check my connections one more time . Meanwhile, anyone know if they sell ISS as a stand-alone? I didn't see it on a quick look, but I really don't want to have to get a whole new console, anemometer, etc.

Yeah there's no way anyone slept thru that

Surprisingly my one year old and four year old both slept through it.....I thought for sure they would wake up....that storm was pretty sweet.....not severe but I don't care so much about the wind.....the lightning and thunder is really all I like....the thunder especially....top 5 imby for me....

That's a very cool map. I dunno how accurate it is, but the finely detailed nuances look realistic. You can even make out our uplands west of ALB (in darker green low 50s) and the narrow yellowish upper 50s in the Schoharie Valley to the west and Mohawk Valley to the north/west. That map will be great in winter wx events if it is accurate.

Solid temp gradient between NNE and SNE right now.

More like NW to SE.

Look spretty close. 59 here at the moment and the pdfamily site has low-mid 60's just to my south and east doing that God-awful climb as you head SE. Norwich, CT is roasting!

Man that was a lot of MEH........anafrontal rains were a no show, showered for maybe 5 minutes, if that. Temp is 71, hardly a breath of wind, I am sure the nw wind will kick up later tonight but the temperature drop down this way has been very slow, which is usually the case with a downsloping wind.

Where is Ray, I know he loves this anafrontal crap :P
