Ian Posted September 13, 2011 Share Posted September 13, 2011 This is all kind of random and I'm not sure if there is a point, but I thought these two systems looked sort of similar to Irene and Katia.. not sure what was causing the rain over D.C. in the 1934 case but wonder if the atmospheric setup was similar. DC 3.87" DCA 3.83" Tracks quite similar DCA 8.21" while it's spinning off the coast. DCA 6.93" (not counting after the break) while spinning off coast. Guess the question is what was happening on land.. have not looked at re-analysis. Not the bestest match but close enough in both track off the SE and timeframe between events.
