Ian
Euro doesn't have anything hitting the east coast It doesnt go out that far... which probably validates how ridiculous it is to talk about landfall locations.

Ginx snewx
Please do not compare this to Irene, totally different setup, this could easily be sheared to death or head into the Carib. However it's on the board so something to watch.

OSUmetstud
FYI, I'm thinking this stays pretty weak and gets into the Caribbean. While it's still very far out, the pattern is not conducive for a US East Coast landfall.
snowNH
re-curve. book it. I know its a def. recurve. The upper air pattern is just gross for a NE hit. Looks like it will recurve sharper than katia.
Ginx snewx
why not? Just watching, not laughing. Models are in funk run to run, lifting troughs, deepening troughs. I am staying on guard this year, going to stay ahead of the inevitable panic when and if we get threatened again. Too soon for absolutes from anyone. brad1551
All models point to development but real slow at that. The 5 day track is very similar to Irene. Does. not mean Irene landfall . So many components in the way unlike Irene. This is only the beginning and many days to watch. I believe another close call but no landfall. There is alot of shearing ahead.Something defiantly to watch.
