FoothillsNC
And notice the lack of precip in eastern GA and western SC. My best bet, after looking at radar and the latest RUC, is that the heavy rains may fall this evening and then we begin to taper off significantly. Tomorrow could be quite a bit drier than currently forecast as well. I've got 0.52" storm total. My guess is that I won't top 1". It might even be worth canceling or at least trimming the FFW early. I'm surprised you're that low. I'm nearly an inch now, but not from any steady rains, just quick hitting showers. And these things are super quick (and efficient rainmakers). I'm sure the final map will have gaps all in it across the region here, with pockets of less than half inch, to pockets of 4" all within a few miles of here. Very impressive rain totals in TN and AL. I can't begin to imagine what that would be like to experience. The most I've seen is 5 or 6" in a few stationary supercells over the course of a lifetime. (Fay also , with 7" in two days). Gastonwxman
Pretty potent storm here. Lots of intense lightning, heavy rain, and the occasional gusty wind.
SuperNET
This is apicture I took of a wicked looking cloud this evening in the Fairview area in Union County. When I said I wanted to get a little closer to see what exactly it was he said "Most people go away from things like that, not towards it." LOL..he just doesn't get it. I lost the ability to see....it got so dam dark so fast that it was hard to see. I had to drive into a soybean field and jump ont he toolbox to get the same view. I believe there was a TOR on the ground but it was brief....I missed the show by 1 or 2 minutes....

MotoWeatherman
9.25 inches IMBY. The latest GFS says 3.6 is still to come, but it looks on radar like a dry slot may try to work in. Right now I'd be willing to bet on at least 1-2 more inches for you. Amazing day.
