Kinda shocking really........I mean these are tornado warnings in the Charlotte metro area.......

Yeah...I don't understand it either. I like Eric and the folks at channel 3 but they have never done a live stream. Brad does his through U-stream and not on the WCNC website. That's the one thing that Fisch and WRAL has over any TV station in the state.

Down here in the east all the local mets are on whenever we get a tornado warning. Guess the NWS isnt to impressed they let all tornado warnings drop....

After a break...the gates have opened up on the escarpment.

And notice the lack of precip in eastern GA and western SC. My best bet, after looking at radar and the latest RUC, is that the heavy rains may fall this evening and then we begin to taper off significantly. Tomorrow could be quite a bit drier than currently forecast as well.

I've got 0.52" storm total. My guess is that I won't top 1". It might even be worth canceling or at least trimming the FFW early.

Chased that cell....I believe it was on the ground near the intersection of Secret Shortcut and West of Ronanoke Church road.

Never did see it on the ground after it crossed Lawyers Road....but it may have been on ground for just a minute or two...

LOL killer, couplet looks weaker on radar now so I suspect it is either recycling or done period. On the second or third to last frame I thought I saw some higher reflectivity mixing in kinda like debris but its hard to say for sure. It was fairly close to the radar so the scan was prolly getting pretty low as well but I just have the TDWR Nexrad stuff so its prolly nothing.
