dryslotted
Second power blinkage, and winds gusting to almost 20 mph by my visual estimates, similar to Ike less than a day before landfall. I am definitely claiming Lee, as I am claiming the final landfall of Ivan. I had a Tropical Season 2011. Thank you. You might get at least some rain according to the radar. Looks to be heading a bit west and the precip shield might pass over the city...

wxmx
By 12z tomorrow (7am CDT) the GFDL and NAM have it close to the LA/TX border, the NAM closer to the coast... the GFS has it north of Vermillion Bay, around Lafayette... so we'll soon know who's right. Srain
Radar out of LCH sure suggests a more westward motion. Just enough to keep me interested...
Flexo
Had a strong burst of heavy rain and gusty winds that only lasted a few minutes but knocked out power for an hour. Just some light rain and breezy now Pretty much the most exciting thing that has happened around here since the icy February I'll take it shrug.png
Ed Lizard
Tropical Storm Lee is now complete. Sprinkles at my house just started. I had predicted the sprinkles would stop at the interstate and I was wrong. At least a trace if this lasts an hour!
Ian
congrats ed. there was this one time i was outside and it sprinkled and it reminded me of being in a fogbank in san francisco. it was summer but quite cold. i had to buy a sweater, and it said alcatraz. Ed Lizard
0Z Euro would look good for watches parts of North Carolina, maybe Virginia late week/weekend, even if it is a near miss. 10 meter winds approach 60 knots on the Outer Banks early Saturday. Bob Chill
NHC maxes it at 105 kts, I think more like 120. I agree. Intensity forecasting has been a bear with Katia. She's been knocked down twice already. With that being said, everything is looking ripe for a potential Cat 4 now.
