Kmlwx
What brand shop vac do you folks recommend getting for slight basement wetness (nothing serious) and other jobs like that. I think it's about time we get one here.
mattie g
I'm just on the western edge of that line, but it's still a deluge. No wind whatsoever - just rain coming straight down. You'll all be glad to know that I put my trusty drinking-glass rain gauge out just as this band moved in.
Bob Chill
What brand shop vac do you folks recommend getting for slight basement wetness (nothing serious) and other jobs like that. I think it's about time we get one here. Good ole Rigid from Home Depot. I've had mine for 6 years and works like a charm. Change the filter every now and then and that's it. Great bang for the buck. The line of heavy rain looks like it means business for the next couple of hours. I saw Upper Marlboro on TWC this morning and the flooding was pretty bad. I can imagine what it will look like with another 3" piled on.

Ellinwood
Heaviest rain I've seen all day... visibility under a 1/2 mile. Cable is out... using 3G hot-spot. Sidewalk and parking lots have streams about 1-3" deep going through them (i.e. nothing crazy yet.). I would imagine I've received about 3" of rain so far this afternoon.
