yep, i just saw that. were in trouble i think

Kmdt now up to 2.98" for the day and 7.65" for the storm. They about to get slammed again for another 30 minutes or so then a small break. Looking at that radar feed coming north makes me feel this may be worse than I expected.

Definitely seems like bad flash flooding might be widespread in the valley today.

Gonna set up quite a tight gradient. Glad it isn't snow.

Damn.....CTP says ****'s gonna get real later on: http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&issuedby=CTP&product=AFD&format=CI&version=1&glossary=1&highlight=off

On the HRRR.......I don't know about that. Seems to be underdoing the rain.

CTP talked about this morning about "two atmospheric rivers" of moisture combining over our area today. One, the oringal one from Lee stretching down to the Yucatan and two, Katia is now involved.

Here is the latest AFD. I enjoy there black sense of humor talking about the break. They also say get your boats ready.

Susquehanna is currently forecasted to crest at 22.6 feet... but if this heavy rain continues with what is moving north up the coast it could end up much higher unfortunately... already just over 51" of precip for the year in Harrisburg... record is 59.27" from 1972

I just went to the river for a walk, it's rising at rates that are downright scary. I flew back from Texas this morning (went to help my parents move stuff away from fires). It's simply not fair what the atmoshpere is dishing out for us and them; they need this more than anywhere imaginable except I guess the Somalia area.

The rain here's let off - kind of a misty thing right now and the sky's lighter than it's been for days. I know that won't last though. :(

My house is soon to be an island.

BTW, the Harrisburg Senators are supposed to be hosting two playoff games tonight and tomorrow, then another Sunday (if needed).

Since the island/stadium will be flooded, I wonder what on earth they'll do? It'll be unplayable I'm sure through at least Monday ...

they should move the games to lancaster at clipper stadium...don't think the barnstormers are in town.

What a retarded location for a stadium.

it is probably my 2nd favorite minor league ball park behind Trenton. i think it's very scenic though you do have to worry about flooding.

This. Or at least should have dished some money into some flood deterrent in their renovations.
