Wonder if there are coppas sitting at the barricades for Clarks Ferry Bridge. Walking out on the bridge would be an amazing feeling.

I have two friends who ran that barricade with PSP sitting right there (yesterday) going from west shore back to east shore (they were heading to Halifax in a failed attempt to save a camper)

They were not pursued. Probably would now though. it was incredibly stupid for them to try that really.

Back in Agnes, I have shots from the Rockville Railroad Bridge of the flooding (sorry, no electronic version - old school prints only) You can't go that anymore - ever since 9/11, the NFS PD seemingly waits in the bushes for you to even try.

I would like to stay out of the mess Hburg is. Seen enough building flooding yesterday.

It would be wild standing on a bridge. Hopefully some wild objects would float by.

Is that online anywhere, that video?

I don't think so, Jamie. It was a segment that aired last night during their continuous coverage. He got in a raft with a few officials and did a tour of West Pittston, going down one street to near the river, paralleling it for a block or two, and then returning up another. It was dark, but the camera lights did a good job illuminating the various structures they passed.

Hopefully it eventually pops up on YouTube.

i saw a video clip on one of the harrisburg stations yesterday, i think it was from a Met Student from Millersville. He was standing on a bridge and a decent size shed was floating down the river or crick (creek) and hits the side of the bridge. it was a wild video. very cool, i gave it 2 thumbs up

i am heading down toward pottstown tonight...leaving around 3am

the route i am taking (see pic)

anyone along my route know of any problems i may run in to with the flooding / road closing / bridges out?

or would i be better off taking 476 south?

I would go as far East as you can, thats not out of your way, before heading South.

Just about everything just East of I81 is a cluster fack down here. Things are slowly beginning to open up on the main streets, but who knows how the more remote mountain bridges are doing.

damnnnnnnnnn

Sort of imagined that's what it would look like. They own a house right up against the Swatara Creek in the location of my pics and google maps post from last night.

Still can't get over how widespread the flood was. I mean a creek that normally runs about 20 yards wide became the aprox. 200 yards wide....never have I ever.

Anybody know how to convert facebook videos to youtube? Boy do I have some crazy videos from those trapped in the square of Lickdale.

I'm interested in why I81N between Lickdale and Pin Grove is closed?

For those that do not know the area, the interstate bridges across two mountain peaks in that area. The bridge is multi stories high. There is no way the creek is affecting it.

The only thing I can think of is mud/land slide.

i saw video last night, parts of the interstate washed away up there somewhere.
