Itstrainingtime
Front @ Paxton in Harrisburg has now flooded over from the river. What do you think happens with the Sens? Do they move their home games down here or to York? No way Metro is ready for baseball by Sunday...

No way Metro is ready for baseball by Sunday... I'm not sure if they'll be able to host ANY games. You can't postpone the playoffs that long because players need to get to MLB rosters. I assume for the Richmond series they screw C PA and play all games in Richmond. Playing in York or Lancaster makes too much sense.

hckyplayer8
Words can not describe what is out there today. I was going to park on the edge of Hershey and walk in but there's literally no way out. All major routes and side roads are closed due to flooding. Its just insane. At spots the creek is downhill 50 yards from where the water now is. Bridges that are elevated +20ft over the water are now under. Wasn't alive during Agnes, but this is the worst since then. Forgot to mention to add a prayer for my buddies friend in Mount Joy. Guess he was on foot last night and got swept away and has yet to be found. Was trying to get a pump to a elderly relative. I admit not the most brilliant idea, but not like he was just fing around or trying to get a hamburger at Wendys.
sauss06
Why hasn't a State of Emergency been declared yet? It would reduce a lot of un needed traffic on the roads also has anyone heard of any issues on the turnpike? Heading east

PSUBlizzicane2007
I've been talking with people planning to go to the PSU/Bama game on Saturday, and this is looking like an unbelievable mess. I cannot believe how high the Susquehanna is already: http://www.511pa.com/Traffic.aspx?ShowCameras=true Select Capital Region, Zoom into Harrisburg, and look at the Clarks Ferry Bridge camera. Ridiculous.
hckyplayer8
I have more to come later but this the intersection at Lickdale. The bridge that goes over the Swatara creek isn't even visible in this photograph. Not due to how high the water is but how far the bridge is from the area the photo was taken. Heading east FWIW it seems the Turnpike is the only major highway not affected too much at the moment. 86/17 is closed in NY, 80 has the closure at Bloomsburg, 81 has various closures, 78 has the potential to be closed from what I've heard, 22/322 is closed, 11/15 is backed up crazy from rerouted traffic... it's ridiculous. (thats was confirmed from a good source) not sure if its open now or not. but 81S going across the GWB is backing up. edit: Still hearing water rescues for vehicles stranded in water. This is getting Total BS. Wasting resources on dumbass people. Call the state of Emergency and get the people home off the streets.
