NortheastPAWx
Great - the AHPS page is out! Either that or they're just too afraid to tell us what the next projection will be. I know -- awful timing. Like the KDIX radar crashing during Irene. Snedeker is on WNEP saying this area of heavy rain has not been accounted for...and forecasts could go up. ValleyPA
We have 3 feet of water in our basement. The local paper says a sinkhole opened up in Palmyra--big surprise.

canderson
They need to just rename Palmyra to Sinkhole. Seriously. At 28 feet in Harrisburg, the entire length of Front Street is flooded and water's to Second Street. I'm on Fourth so I'm fine, but I'll get photos come Friday/Saturday for posting as long as I'm not putting myself in danger of washing away. I too see the river site's dead, and won't be shocked at all if it's upped.

canderson
and i'll get some from my side I'll just assume all of Wormlysburg or whoever the hell it's spelled is toast, as it West Fairview and a good chunk of Enola on the other side of 11/15. You should be OK though, aren't you a few streets inland like me?

Yeah, i'm back in pretty good, even in '72 we didn't have issues other then from like ground water coming in the basement, not the river itself. I'm thinking i may have to come out of retirement. The guys across the street at the firehouse are tired. Edit to add: what don't people get? they have been told over and over to stay home and not drive through standing water, i am still hearing water rescues of stranded motorists? djr5001
from @JimCantore - "New plan for me: Drive to Wilkes-Barre, PA after we land in Syracuse, NY as the biggest evacuation and worst PA flood since Agnes commences" you know things are bad when he is sent somewhere... I think forecast crests are not high enough with the continuous rain and levels already near record heights for Susquehanna in New York and North PA already... Imagess out of Hershey - 322 crumpled all 4 lanes in the area of the Med Ctr. Still trying to access AHPS - maybe we all melted their server. WTF there needs to be a point where the emergency managers collectively say and get the word out that there will not be any more rescues for stranded motorists. it really is unbelievable the amount of idiots that are driving into water covered roads. i mean it doesn't take a mensa member to know that if it's been pouring rain for 4 days straight that most likely roads are going to be badly flooded.
