EasternUSWX
WOW at the current radar! The radar keeps filling in over the areas that have been already pounded, I'm so jealous right now. I wish no harm on anyone but I def wish I was apart of this weather anomoly that likely only happens once a century. Just move to eastern pa it happens like every week. lol

MAG5035
Look out Hazleton. Pretty classic ingredients for heavy rain right now. Low level convergence, mid level convergence too where strong se-sse jet meeting up with more ssw winds behind the 925-850mb fronts. You then throw in the lift from jet entrance region and boom. Not to mention a little orographic help too. All the way up through Binghamton looks to be under the gun as well, got a couple texts from a friend up there and it sounds like things are already very bad. Can't get over the setup and endless plume of intense rain/storms.
hckyplayer8
WGAL saying the two animal deaths at ZOO American are two bison. They had to be put down for fear of drowning. Is this for real? How long did the morons sit on their asses and watch the water creep up till the point they couldn't get the animals out? Shame on the zoo. dan11295
BGM up to 6.70" today, Looked up the info on the 2006 Flood that generated the record crest there and this event is more extreme than that event wrt 24-hour rainfall. Crests equal to records in that area are now forecasted.
pawatch
Those plumes are streching all the way down into northern North Carolina. It's crazy, coming right off the ocean. Rick G
Where did you see about the EMA cancelling school? My kids go to Crestwood and I think we are only ones open. EMA manager suggested it at the 5:30 meeting at the EMA headquaters. My source was someone from our firedept who was at the meeting. (it should have been broadcast somewhere.) I wouldn't surprised if Creastwood closed dur to the flash flooding.
