CoastalWx
NCDC has whatever you are looking for, I'm sure. Try this link: http://has.ncdc.noaa...as/has.dsselect . It provides access to historical radar, satellite, NWS text products and NDFD among other things. Thanks. I actually knew of this link, but was wondering if there was some sort of quick way I could copy and paste a forecast. No biggie...thanks again. ski MRG
55/54, nice east wind blowing the sheet drizzle through the floodlights. Soon it'll be snow falling through them. Can't wait.

nzucker
-RA 54/54 Wind: Vrbl@3mph 2.48" rainfall I'm using KAFN until the weather equipment arrives, but I assume it's not that different from campus since it's at 1040'. Elevation here is around 1300' or so, so it might be a degree colder.

Epic flooding now in BGM area..... gonna be worse than 2006 apparently. I'd have to say that offshore Katia is enhancing this latest band to come up. Everything seems to be converging. 54/53, rn+, 7.25" since Sunday and it looks like quite a bit more on the way.

weatherwiz
One thing we may have to watch out for in the coming week is potential impacts from both Nate/Maria. Looks like right around the 15th or so of the month yet another potent trough comes diving down from Canada and another slow moving trough. Around this time it appears Nate could be affecting portions of the Gulf coast states (although forecasts tracks have it going into Mexico or perhaps southern TX) and Maria will potentially be near FL before possibly moving NE. Anyways with another potent trough/cold front slowly working through this could interact with these systems and make a perfect setup (just like now) to just tap into the moisture from these systems and throw up up our way. If something like this were to happen we would be looking at enormous flooding issues, it would be a very ugly situation.

Flying MXZ
Just brutal..the never ending siege continues. HVY HVY rain over 2 inches and counting. Looks like it may stop by tomorrow but models have been abysmal BGM agrees. .NEAR TERM /UNTIL NOON TODAY/... -- Changed Discussion --450 AM UPDATE...NEW TRAIN OF HEAVY RAIN HAS DEVELOPED ALONG THE EASTERN SEABOARD, THROUGH NJ AND FEEDING INTO PIKE, SULLIVAN, AND DELAWARE COUNTIES. DOWNPOURS WITHIN THIS RAIN BAND ARE PRODUCING NEW RAIN ACCUMULATIONS OF OVER 1.50 INCHES PER HOUR. NO MODELS SEEM TO BE HANDLING THIS NEW PRECIP BAND AT ALL. THE NAM HAS A MAX OVER SOUTHEASTERN NY, BUT HAS NO CONCEPT OF THE TRAIN FROM THE SOUTH. VERY FRUSTRATING AS WE ARE ESSENTIALLY WORKING WITHOUT USEFUL GUIDANCE AT THE MOMENT. THIS AREA IS ROUGHLY IN LINE WITH THE BEST OBSERVED VERTICAL DISPLACEMENT, AND DOES RIDE ACROSS THE SURFACE FRONT FROM THE DELMARVA INTO NJ. IT APPEARS CONVERGENCE IN THIS AREA IS CAUSING AN ENHANCEMENT OF THE BAND, AND IT COULD BE THAT THE UL TROF OVER THE OHIO VALLEY HAS SHIFTED SLIGHTLY EASTWARD...PUSHING THE "SQUEEZE AREA" TO THE EAST. UPDATED THE GRIDS TO BRING THIS BAND INTO OUR SERN ZONES THROUGH MID MORNING.

Mr Torchey
Wow did we catch a break down here, when I woke up at 5 it had just finished pouring with a solid area of rain in jersey, somehow that moved due north, looks like a spot shower next hour. You folk up north take it easy, thats an ugly looking radar, be safe.
