OKpowdah
Would atmospheric cooling cause this? Looks like it is giving Ohio the finger It's caused by subsidence outside the storm ... air descending will warm adiabatically while maintaining the same mixing ratio ... decreasing the RH

ski MRG
57/54,rn, a high of 61.5 at midnight fell to a low of 53 followed by an afternoon high of 59. Rain slackened mid morning and then regenerated just after lunch. Looks like a decent slug of rain here through the night.

weatherMA
I'm guessing we will break 60--maybe as high as 62. Correct-high was 62 here (daytime), with a temp of 69 at midnight so that goes in as the official high. Refreshing to have wx like this. Maybe 2K will get some flakes mixing in tonight. Heavy Heavy rain on the way- .91 already.

Logan11
Just ovc and cool here...58 now. High of 60, low of 55. For the most part I have been north of the rain most of this afternoon/evening. It is supposed to come back later tonight and hang around much of tomorrow. Looks like the folks down in southern NY and southern CT are getting drenched now. 57/54,rn, a high of 61.5 at midnight fell to a low of 53 followed by an afternoon high of 59. Logan11
That's progress. ...to see them so chilly. But truthfully I'm not a big fan of temps between about 35 and 50. I call it useless chill. I like nice Autumnal wx and I like sub freezing snowy wx. Mount Washington 39/39 fog

moneypitmike
Those are birds. Mass migration south as they realized that Kevin's torch had failed and they need to high-tail it to the tropics.

That radar loop is from the hour before sunset so birds makes sense. You can see the sunset on the radars. It's that narrow beam pointing west and progresses from eastern to western radar sites with time. Same thing happens every morning with sunrise, except the narrow beam faces east. ChrisM
I looked at two map products that are saying only .25-.5" of rain has fallen here in the last 24 hours at UConn. Hard to believe..it's been raining on and off all day and POURING all night. Dont have a gauge here so that's my only estimation technique.
