CT Rain
Well the 18z GFS should bring back some false hope of a significant frozen event for the interior. I'm not buying it though. god you're so negative. Kevin is back on the GFS train so I'm sure he'll lock it in. As we thought.
CoastalWx
LOL, a tippy rapid flash freeze and snow type deal.

weathafella
HUGE shift east still rain on the shore though it's sort of breaking it up into two waves No. 2nd wave is snow or sleet.. 32 2M temp line is through Boston during the event. CoastalWx
Why are you leaving the wallet in your pants? It's doing some funky stuff. It takes the little spurious low and uses that as the main low, while the parent low in the OH valley dissipates. Seems a little weird, but who knows. skierinvermont
We have been forgetting this is still 4-5 days away, even though the solutions have unanimously been bad for the last 48 hours. Some of the GFS ensemble members have been splitting the storm in two like this.. now the OP is too. We've also been seeing big changes run to run for the Euro even though they have all been bad. I still have no hope except for the far interior, but a cutter to watertown is not a lock yet just because that's what the euro has.
DomNH
It certainly will bring everyone back to the 0z runs................ Dr. No probably brings it through NYC, just to fook with us.
40/70 Benchmark
I can't hear you because I'm busy accepting the Euro in every single one of my orifices. You need to post more, Brett.

OKpowdah
The key in this run is keeping some energy out in front, distinct from the main s/w. This knocks helps limit the uber ridge over the region, However, I think when models try to do this, their track record isn't too great. More often than not, there is one big storm, not two separate systems

weathafella
LOL....Euro has it nearing 60 and convective downpours while GFS (albeit different init times) have me near freezing and mixed/sleet/snow Monday.

skierinvermont
The greens are absolutely crushed. They get like 6" front end and then probably 1-2 feet upslope just like the last storm.

CoastalWx
It's doing something similar to the euro, but the evolution of everything prior to the secondary seems weird.

skierinvermont
I think the main differences this run were 1) the PV in canada is more dominating 2) the pacific is flatter and there is some weird interactions in the energy which split it in two
