HIPPYVALLEY
Didn't we also see a storm last year that resulted in Caribou about 20 degrees warmer than the Gulf Coast for a day? Amazing!
Mr Torchey
Yeah I actually think how warm they get is a product of whether there's more of a sea breeze with SE winds or just pure southerlies, which will come down to the exact track and secondary formation. If the winds stay mostly S or SSE, it could get plenty warm with +9C 850mb temps. You have been waiting two weeks to talk about warmth, doom and gloom LOL. Cold enough for ya? S is a seabreeze as well (modified) so while temps will run at 60, it will be harder to excede untess this low runs up through MSP and we go SW or WSW. moneypitmike
Okay---the thing with the Sun/Mon event's no big deal. I just went out for a walk on the beaver pond. Held no problem. I was much more confident than my excursion this morning. So, I started thinking of all the great things frigid, snow-free weather can provide. Here's what I've come up with: 1) no need to shovel ponds/lakes for skating/fishing 2) no need to worry about firewood getting buried in the snow 3) without an insulating blanket of snow, maybe all the moles will freeze That's all i've got....... 21.3/4.
